Celtic are in desperate need of the big defender’s influence at the heart of defence and even at attacking set pieces.
The centre-back missed the majority of the season through injury. His season coming to an end during the final game of 2020 against Dundee Utd when clearing the ball off the line his knee collided with the post.
Hopefully the new manager can utilise the defender when he returns to the fold.
We’re still waiting for Celtic to announce the new management team. They will have a big job when they come in.
The squad will look very different when Christopher does return. There’s an argument for the Frenchman to be Celtic captain next season but that honour might be reserved for Callum McGregor.
