Christoph Waltz Celebrates Celtic’s Glourious Glasgow Derby Win

Hollywood royalty was in attendance for Celtic’s 3-0 win over Rangers, with none other than Christoph Waltz, best known for his roles in films like Inglourious Basterds, James Bond, and Django Unchained.

Waltz, who received an Oscar for his role as Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds, took a break from filming Guillermo del Toro’s new adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein for Netflix, which is currently being shot in Scotland.

And following on from Frankenstein, Celtic delivered a horror show for Rangers with a 3-0 drubbing, as the Ibrox side was largely absent for the majority of the game.

Having such a famous face like the Austrian actor at Celtic Park may come as a surprise to some, but it highlights the global reach of the club.

Ernest Blofeld himself was eager to witness the Glasgow Derby at Paradise.

Waltz will have surely enjoyed what he saw from Celtic, who were in top form as they tore apart Rangers in a statement win worthy of an Oscar in itself.

Goals from Daizen Maeda, Kyogo Furuhashi, and Callum McGregor sealed the victory.

Next up for Celtic is a home match against Hearts on September 14th at Celtic Park, following the international break.
