Chris Sutton’s Hilarious Kris Boyd Treble Jibe Live On Sky Sports

Former Celtic striker turned Scottish football pundit, Chris Sutton, managed to get a jibe in against fellow pundit Kris Boyd, with Celtic going 3-0 up against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Sutton joked on Sky Sports when James Forrest netted the Hoops’ third in the 35th minute: “I’ll need to ask Kris Boyd at half-time if the treble is still on.”

Sutton and Boyd, who have historically butted heads, with Boyd seen as an Ibrox cheerleader looking to wind up Sutton unsuccessfully.

But tonight, the Englishman will most certainly have the last laugh, with Celtic on the verge of the Scottish Premiership title, despite some writing off the Hoops at times this season.

The Rangers hype train certainly went overboard, with Boyd and some looking to push the belief that they could win the treble earlier in the season.

Sutton hilariously reminded the former Rangers striker of this on a special night for the Hoops.

Titles are not won in February, and with Rangers going top after Celtic drew with Kilmarnock 1-1 at Celtic Park, many Rangers fans and pundits got ahead of themselves, with Boyd certainly one of them.

Boyd thought that the Hoops would not have the resilience to fight back in the manner they have in recent months.

However, Brendan Rodgers has instead used every part of his managerial experience to his advantage to put Celtic on the verge of the Scottish Premiership for the third time in his managerial career.
