Chris Sutton’s Full Time Brendan Rodgers Rant

Celtic lost their second league game in a row on Saturday as Hearts came away from Parkhead with three points. It was a difficult defeat to take for the supporters who booed the team off at full-time.

Post-match, the fallout has already began. Former Hoops striker Chris Sutton has given his thoughts on the loss and the current crisis at Celtic.

The Englishman believes manager Brendan Rodgers is to blame. He said (X): “You can blame the board, you can blame the lack of atmosphere because of the Green Brigade not being at matches, you can blame the recruitment but ultimately Brendan Rodgers should be doing much better with the players he has at his disposal… it’s been bang average all season”

Although ‘sack the board’ rang around Parkhead towards the end of today’s game, Sutton still thinks Rodgers should be doing better. There are players of quality in the squad, and two league losses is not the best record.

Things need to improve going forward, and it will be intriguing to see how the Irish gaffer and his team respond.
