Celtic’s 3-0 victory over Rangers in the season’s first Glasgow Derby left a lasting impression not just on the scoreboard but also on former Rangers captain Barry Ferguson.

Positioned in the Parkhead director’s box, Ferguson was subjected to the jubilation of Celtic fans, who celebrated their team’s dominance with their huddle celebration, much to his chagrin as he had to sit on his seat and watch on.
Ferguson openly shared his feelings in his Daily Record column, stating,”This one hurts. Maybe it was because I was there to watch it with my own eyes…Perhaps it was the joy on the faces of the Celtic fans when they were doing their wee huddle dance and laughing in my face when their team was 3-0 up.”
Chris Sutton, never one to miss a chance for a jab, responded on social media to Ferguson’s discomfort. Sutton humorously pleaded, “Can Celtic fans please stop doing the huddle when Barry is at Parkhead please…”

Celtic in a great position
The derby win solidified Celtic’s strong start to the season, positioning them five points clear of Rangers and on par with Aberdeen atop the Scottish Premiership standings. The victory was a clear demonstration of the quality gap between the two sides, highlighted by goals from Daizen Maeda, Kyogo Furuhashi, and a stunning strike from captain Callum McGregor.
Celtic are four games into the season and have four wins, yet to concede a goal. After the international break, a struggling Hearts side visit Celtic Park, where Celtic will look to continue their unbeaten start to the season.
After that, it’s time for the opening Champions League group stage match against Bratislava.
