CHRIS SUTTON believes Celtic’s transfer dealings over the past week means it’s curtains for one Celtic star at Parkhead.
The BT Sports pundit was on the RecordSport podcast and revealed he thinks Celtic signing David Turnbull means the club will cash in on Olivier Ntcham before the end of this current window.
Speaking about Turnbull making the move from Motherwell to Celtic, Sutton said:
“Does it mean that it’s the end for Olivier Ntcham? I think it does. It looks like Turnbull’s come in, Ntcham will possibly be the one who is sold and let go.
“I know Ntcham’s come in for a bit of criticism at the start of the season. I don’t think Neil Lennon necessarily helped by speaking about players wanting away and supporters assuming that Ntcham is one of those players.
“But I think Ntcham is a really good footballer.”
Olivier Ntcham is a superb footballer in his day but Neil Lennon has always found it a challenge to fit him into the team. It’s a difficult one but not every game calls for Scott Brown to start, there are games where Oli should be allowed to be the main man in the midfield. Failing that, playing just behind the striker is another place he can flourish but then Neil Lennon prefers Ryan Christie.
The writing does seem on the wall for the Frenchman who will no doubt flourish more away from Parkhead.
