Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has reacted to Rangers’ shock 1-0 defeat to Queen’s Park yesterday at Ibrox, which saw Philippe Clement’s side dumped out of the Scottish Cup in the fifth round.
Sutton, who spent six years at Celtic, winning four league titles, three Scottish Cups, and a League Cup during his time in Glasgow, also regularly covers the Hoops in media duties with a keen eye on Scottish football.

With Celtic booking a place in the quarter-finals on Saturday night with a 5-0 win over Raith Rovers at Celtic Park, Rangers would slip up against Championship opposition after Seb Drozd gave the Spiders the lead in the 69th minute.
A 97th-minute penalty for an apparent foul on Cyriel Dessers couldn’t save Rangers, with Queen’s Park’s goalkeeper Calum Ferrie producing a crucial save to deny the spot kick. The Englishman was at the top of his game, keeping a clean sheet to secure a historic victory.
Well played Queens Park and Callum Ferrie👏👏 And Rangers were progressing so well under big Phil…

With Rangers now 13 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership and having already lost the Premier Sports Cup, the Hoops’ chances of securing a domestic treble—if they weren’t already high—have only increased given Celtic’s stellar season so far.
For Clement, whether he will leave Rangers remains to be seen. However, after much was made of his arrival last season, the Belgian has shown himself to be no more than an ill-equipped coach who consistently looks to blame others and refereeing decisions.
A meaningless win over Celtic in the New Year Glasgow Derby gave Clement extra time, but a month later, he has overseen arguably Rangers’ worst cup exit against Callum Davidson’s side.
Meanwhile, Celtic are preparing to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday night in the Champions League knockout playoffs, highlighting the stark contrast between the two clubs’ seasons.
