Chris Sutton Reckons Celtic “Will Feel Wronged” After VAR Blunder

VAR used the wrong frame as they checked what could’ve been Hyeon-gyu Oh’s second goal in as many games during Saturday’s match at Dingwall.

They had determined that Maeda was offside, however, to come to that conclusion, the ball had already left Bernardo’s foot in the image they used.

This split second could’ve been the difference between the goal standing and not, being such a tight call.

Sky Sports had pointed the VAR error out at halftime, and Chris Sutton believed that Celtic were “wronged” by the decision. He said: [Sky Sports]

“It doesn’t look like they got the right frame there. It doesn’t look like the ball has left the foot and if they’ve called it off that, they’ve got it wrong.

“I think Celtic will feel wronged because of that. They have to get the frame right.”

The disallowed goal didn’t change the outcome of the match, and Celtic still took the three points down the road with them, leaving them eight points clear of their rivals in second place.

Turnbull’s goal opened the scoring before the break, then Luis Palma doubled Celtic’s lead with just over ten minutes to go with a magnificent strike that left Laidlaw with no chance.

James Forrest added the third, heading home Palma’s cross to secure the three points.
