However, Chris Sutton countered this view, stating that, to his knowledge, Rodgers had approved all the signings.
“Well, you say that [the signings are Lawwell’s]. But, to my knowledge, Brendan signs all the players off. They are Brendan’s signings.”
It’s quite something that Rodgers had the final say on all the players, yet, when you look at the team that finished yesterday, none of them were signed in the summer. Palma was the only signing from the window to feature, with guys like Holm, Nawrocki, Yang and Lagerbielke not even quoted.
