Chris Sutton Makes Interesting Celtic Penalty Claims

CHRIS SUTTON believes that the referee made the right call both times he was sent to the monitor.

On the first occasion, Don Robertson was asked to watch the penalty he had initially awarded again. Despite there being a clear foul on Kyogo and the case for a second foul on the striker, the referee changed his mind and decided there was no foul. It was a bizarre decision, in all honesty.

The second time Robertson went to the monitor, he awarded Celtic a penalty for a clear handball. But, even when he made the right decision, which he should’ve managed without the help of VAR, he managed to make a mess of it. The referee failed to book Kieran Freeman for what should’ve been his second yellow.

All in all, it was a dominant display from Celtic, who will be frustrated with only the two goals. It was a great display from Callum McGregor, who made his 400th appearance in a Celtic shirt.
