Chris Sutton in Surprising Post-Match Celtic Verdict

CHRIS SUTTON has delivered a very measured post-match verdict after Celtic fell to defeat in the Champions League.

The bhoy equalised in the second half after going behind in the first. However, a mistake by the goalkeeper would allow Leipzig in and they never looked back.

On the night, Celtic couldn’t call upon their first choice centre-back pairing and they lost their captain Callum McGregor in the first half.

Leipzig moved up the gears after conceding an the bhoys looked less and less likely to do any more damage.

Joe’s mistake gave them their confidence back, there was no need for a nervy end to the game once they had retaken the lead.

Chris Sutton believes all things being considered, Celtic need to remember how far they’ve come and that all is not lost just yet.

Celtic’s next two games are at home against Leipzig and then Shakhtar. If they can pull themselves together and find an extra level at Celtic Park in front of an amazing home support, we can see where it takes us.

It’s surprising to see Chris be so positive. We know he can be highly critical, but the former Hoops striker is looking at the bigger picture.
