Chris Sutton, a former striker for both Norwich City and Celtic, has offered his insights on the possible transfer of Adam Idah from Norwich to Celtic.

The current pundit still is very much clued up on Norwich City’s players, writing articles regularly about the club he started his career with.
Reports emerged on Tuesday night suggesting that Celtic is nearing a loan deal for Idah, the Norwich forward and Republic of Ireland international.
Sutton expressed his reservations about the transfer on social media platform X. He stated, “If this is true, I’m not sure with the greatest respect it’s an upgrade on Oh. Idah needs to get away from Norwich and has potential but has had potential for years but he’s 100% in the development category and a long way from the finished article.”
This just isn’t what Celtic fans were told to expect coming into this January window. Brendan Rodgers’ aim was to bring real quality into the squad.
With Sutton not viewing Idah as a clear upgrade over Oh, who is currently away at the Asian Cup, the potential loan isn’t going to cut it with supporters.
It looks like this is a deal that’s going to happen, but it’s obvious Idah isn’t part of the 3-4 “quality” players that Celtic were offered.
