Chris Sutton Backs Celtic in Interesting BBC Poll

CHRIS SUTTON has unsurprisingly backed Celtic in the newest BBC poll that asks ‘Who are the best club side ever’. It takes club’s from different years and achievements, pinning them against each other to see who people think is the best club side.

Celtic’s famous 1967 team are in the mix and Chris has put his weight behind Jock Stein’s men.

Chris doesn’t think there’s much of a debate because Celtic not only became the first ever non-Latin side to win the European Cup, but they won absolutely every competition they entered that season.

So far, Celtic are winning the BBC poll.

There are some top sides in the mix but we’re biased!

The poll is a bit of harmless debate in the off season while there’s no club football to watch. While it will be good to see the Lisbon Lions come out on top on this one – the poll will reflect Celtic fans being able to mobilise enough on the poll to get it over the line.

For Celtic, that season was special and will always be one of the biggest achievements in the club’s history.

Jock Stein and his band of legends hoovered up everything. It’s incredible to think just a few weeks ago we had some blowhards in the press claiming the Ibrox club would eclipse the ‘67 team if they won the Europa League. The men from 67 will never be mastered.
