Without the slightest hint of irony, Keith Lasley’s WIFE took to social media last night to blast Scott Sinclair for “cheating”.
Celtic were awarded a penalty while they were 1-0 up and stamping their authority on the game. Celtic were given a soft penalty, which they converted.
The hysteria around the decision is rather remarkable when back in 2015 Celtic were subject to a horrendous decision that would ultimately see them lose their chance at a treble under then manager Ronny Deila. That day a quite deliberate handball by ICT player Meekings saved Leigh Griffiths header with his hands, stopping the goal and suffering no consequences. ICT went on to win the game.
At the time Celtic were lambasted as they complained about a quite horrendous decision and were told to move on and ‘these things even themselves out’. So why is no one doing that today?
I used the word remarkable already but it really is a thing to behold. Motherwell are clinging to this soft penalty as if had it not gone in they would have won the game. If that makes them feel better about their toothless performance on the biggest stage of their career then let them have their moan but Keith Lasley’s wife takes the biscuit.
The only way Motherwell were leaving Hampden with a cup is if they stole one from the tea room on the way out.
I’m assuming she has never seen any of her husband’s football career and wasn’t aware of the style of play he utilised on the field. Let’s hope shes taught the children not to be as impetuous as Keith when it comes to playing football.
If you want a laugh…

On a side note, if she thinks cheats don’t prosper in Scotland then WOW, she really has no clue.
