CHARLIE MULGREW has posted an absolute belter of a picture on Instagram after stumbling across something in his loft.

A Celtic flag from 1966!

The former Celtic captain who now plays for Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn posted the unique piece of Celtic memorabilia online and it couldn’t be more appropriate as we go into the new season.

Fast forward to now and that’s as relevant as it gets for Celtic fans.

The bhoys are heading into the 19/20 season where they can match the record set by Jock Stein’s Celtic.

Mulgrew left the club back in 2016 after he failed to come to terms on a new deal with the club. His departure coincided with the arrival of Brendan Rodgers and the start of the historic treble treble run.

Mulgrew will be able to wave this flag for the bhoys this summer from his view down south.
