Champions League Draw – Elfsborg Likely Opponents

Celtic will likely be facing Elfsborg in the next round of Champions league qualifiers as the Swedish outfit are 7-1 up on their opponents Duagava in the first leg.

Celtic should see Cliftonville off on Tuesday to set up this tie.

Elfsborg

Elfsborg play in the Allsvenskan and have spent most of their history in the top tier of Swedish football. Their home is the Borås Arena, where they have played since 2005. They are also 16 games into their season already and might be a little more match sharp than the Scottish Champions.

With a capacity of 17,800, the away tie is sure to be a great occasion for the travelling support.

Mo Bangura is currently on loan at Elfsborg and it is unclear yet if he will play against his parent club. There doesn’t seem to be any legal provision stopping this from happening so it would be up to Celtic to ask Elfsborg not to play the striker.

Mo has been that much of a flop at Celtic I’m positive a large number of Celtic fans thought his last name was “HitsItWide”.

Wouldn’t it just be the way in football if he played and scored a hattrick.
