Celtic’s pursuit of Lazio winger Gustav Isaksen appears to have reached a standstill.

Despite initial interest from the Scottish club, which included a proposed loan deal with an obligation to buy, it seems the 23-year-old Dane is set to remain in Italy for the time being.
Sky Sports News reports that Isaksen is determined to secure his position at Lazio.

Isaksen, who has had a limited role at Lazio, coming off the bench twice this season and scoring once in Serie A, has shown glimpses of his potential. Last season, Isaksen was mostly used as a substitute, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
Before his tenure at Lazio, Isaksen was notably productive at Midtjylland, where he scored 22 goals and provided nine assists. His experience in the Champions League last season, which included an assist against Celtic, showcased his ability on a larger stage.
Despite the interest from Celtic and the structured offer made, it appears that Isaksen’s current preference is to stay at Lazio and compete for more significant playing time under the club’s current setup.
