Despite a frustrating night in Zagreb against Dinamo Zagreb, financially, the Hoops gained from another draw in the Champions League this season.
A win in the league stage is worth €2.1 million (approximately £1.8 million), while a draw earns €700,000 (around £583,100).
With Celtic having two wins and three draws, the Hoops will now have recouped approximately £5.35 million from their performance-based bonuses in the Champions League group stage, significantly boosting their financial standing.
To put this into perspective, in their two previous campaigns, the Bhoys earned a total of around £3.8 million combined from their results.
With Celtic on 9 points, currently sitting 17th in the table, if they can sneak into the top 16, the sides that finish between 9th and 16th will also receive a bonus worth £840,000.
10 points will all but guarantee a place in the playoffs. However, Opta gives 15 points a 73% chance of making it into the top 8, which comes with a £1.2 million bonus instead of £840,000.

So, if Celtic can win their next two fixtures, it would put the Hoops in a great position, not only to gain more financially but also to reach one stage further, avoiding the knockout playoffs.
