Celtic’s Transfer Window

The Scottish transfer window opens a little earlier than the English market which has caused confusion.

Teams in Scotland can sign players from January 2nd. As soon as it hits midnight, Friday going into Saturday, club’s can begin to do business.

The window closes Monday, February 1st.

Will Celtic do business?

It’s difficult to see a scenario where Celtic don’t try and bring one or two players into the club.

Outgoings look less likely for our top players but there could be movement for the right price.

Big Talking Points

Keeping hold of Odsonne Edouard.

Potentially bringing in a new goalkeeper.

A centre-back and right-sided winger are also a top priority.

Potential Targets

It’s not easy to dispel fact from fiction during the window but Celtic have been linked with numerous players already.

There’s some wishful thinking on social media driving a lot of the conversation. A Fraser Forster return or Patrick Roberts reunion have been discussed among Celtic fans. Rest assured we’ll keep you covered throughout the month.

Celtic have shown signs of life in recent games but they need help. The Celtic manager must push his board to give him reinforcements this January.
