Celtic’s Squad Depth Shown With Current Form, Claims Midfielder

A number of Celtic players contributed to the Hoops’ emphatic 6-0 win over Aberdeen on Sunday. The fact Brendan Rodgers has several bhoys who can come in and contribute to such a victory is hugely positive.

Indeed the depth of the Hoops’ squad is vast and was put on display in the dismantling of the Dons. This is an argument Matt O’Riley put forward post-match. He said (Daily Record): “We’ve missed loads of good players, we missed Liel [Abada] early in the season who’s a really important player. We have other players like Maik [Nawrocki] who’s injured as well. We’ve a really strong squad and it shows with boys like Yang who could come in and left his mark on the Aberdeen game, with Oh stepping up again.”

There are several players in the current Celtic squad who are unavailable due to injury. The strength of it, though, is coherent with the fact that those who are available have come in and contributed.

It is fair to say that if both Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda were fit at the minute, Yang wouldn’t be getting a look in.

He is, though, and is greatly contributing in the minutes he is playing. Second-choice striker Oh is excelling, too, which shows the great strength of the side, at least in attack.
