Celtic and Manchester United have both dismissed recent reports suggesting that Man Utd’s reserve goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, was poised to replace the retired Joe Hart at Celtic Park.

The rumour was initially sparked by Turkish media outlet Aksam, which claimed Bayindir was on the verge of signing a four-year deal with the Scottish champions. However, according to SunSport, both clubs deny this.
Bayindir, formerly of Fenerbahce, joined Manchester United last summer but has struggled to secure significant playing time, appearing in only one match all season as a backup to Andre Onana. With Joe Hart’s retirement creating a substantial gap at Celtic, speculation has been rife about potential replacements.
Celtic currently have Scott Bain and Benji Siegrist as goalkeeping options, both of whom have two years left on their contracts. However, with Siegrist likely on his way out of the club, Celtic may still be in the market for two goalkeepers during the upcoming transfer window.
