Celtic’s Major Boost: Club Confident of Duo’s Easter Road Status

Celtic’s Norweigan duo, Kristoffer Ajer and Mohamed Elyounoussi will be free to face Hibernian this weekend, after fears that they may have to self-isolate on their return from international duty.

According to the Scottish Sun, the club is confident that both will be eligible to play and won’t be forced to quarantine for 10 days.

This has been a very up and down situation in the last few days, which started with the Norweigan Health Authorities not allowing the national side to fulfil their games against Israel, Romania and Austria.

All foreign-based players were allowed to travel back to their clubs across Europe but were told it had been recommended that they self-isolate when they return. However, the decision would be left up to local health boards.

After returning three negative tests though, it is thought that the Scottish Government and Coronavirus response board will allow the players to take part in this fixture.

This will come as a boost to Neil Lennon and his side, with both players being on form in recent weeks.
