Celtic’s advantage in the Scottish Premiership has stretched to seven points after this weekend’s fixtures.

They began the weekend four points ahead and managed to widen the gap over second place.
Rangers, after their 3-0 victory over 10-man St Mirren in Paisley, have drawn level in points with the Buddies. Yet, thanks to a better goal difference, the Ibrox club have climbed to the second spot on the table.
After these fixtures, Celtic have amassed an impressive 22 points out of a possible 24, maintaining their unbeaten run this season. Their only draw came against St Johnstone at home, in what was an extremely disappointing day for the side.
With Rangers and St Mirren lagging behind at 15 points each, Hearts are even further adrift with just 11.
Next up for Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic is a clash against Hearts at Tynecastle on 22nd October, after yet another international break.
It’s the first of a tough run of games for the Hoops, probably the toughest of the season, and the full squad will have to chip in, with tough places to visit, including Edinburgh twice, Dingwall then to Madrid for the Champions League. In between times, St Mirren and Atletico visit Glasgow.
