Kyogo Furuhashi has sent out a message to everyone confirming he’s had the all clear from doctors after the horrible head knock he sustained during Celtic’s 6-0 victory over Aberdeen.
Kyogo scored Celtic’s second of the afternoon, however, Aberdeen defender Slobidan Rubezic ended Kyogo’s day prematurely coming into the back of him at force, knocking him out momentarily.
It was a scary moment for everyone inside Celtic Park as Willie Collum frantically called for the physios to get onto the pitch.

Kyogo somehow managed to walk off the field rather than being stretchered, speaking about it now, the Japanese frontman has no recollection of the incident or walking off the park.

We’re delighted that Kyogo is fine in general, but protocol will mean he misses out for Japan over the international break.
There has been debate over if it was a sending off offence to go in so hard on Kyogo. If we’re looking at the rules of protecting players and their safety, allowing challenges like that to fly is not on.
In an age where concussions in sports are under the microscope like never before, seeing Daizen Maeda sent off for an innocuous tackle while Rubezic only sees yellow just doesn’t make sense.
