Celtic’s Key Derby Dates For 2023/24

Celtic are looking to win a twelfth Scottish top-flight title out of a possible thirteen in the 2023/24 season.

With Brendan Rodgers back at the helm, the Bhoys will be eager to not just win the league, but secure back-to-back trebles as well as ensure European progress is made.

Nevertheless, winning the Premiership is the Bhoys’ bread and butter and after all, it is the competition they play the most games in.

And all of the dates for said matches were released on Friday.

When the league fixtures are initially released, fans immediately look for the derbies.

This season, they are taking place when they traditionally do.

The maiden Glasgow derby of 2023/24 will be on Sunday the 3rd of September at Ibrox. A noon kickoff has been set for that one.

Then, the New Year match-up will be on Saturday the 30th of December at 12.30 pm.

Finally, there will be a clash of Glasgow’s big two on Saturday the 6th of April. Currently, a 3 pm kick-off is set for that one yet closer to the time, it will more than likely be altered.

As well as this trio of league derbies, there is every chance Celtic play Rangers in one or both of the cup competitions.

Moreover, the sides will meet for a fourth time in the league after the split.

In all of these derbies, Brendan Rodgers will be aiming to get the better of Michael Beale and ensure his side’s status as the dominant force in Scottish football is kept.
