Many fans were expecting a lunchtime kick-off, so it’s good to have the afternoon slot.
This highly anticipated showdown will be a historic clash. Celtic and Rangers are currently tied on 118 major trophies each. The winner will edge ahead to 119 trophies, adding further significance to the match.
If Celtic win, there will be a painter and decorator in the Southside who’ll find themself busy in the Christmas period.
Celtic secured their spot in the final with a dominant 6-0 victory over Aberdeen, while Rangers overcame a 1-0 deficit to beat Motherwell 2-1 in the other semi-final.
Rangers head into the final as the defending champions, having defeated Aberdeen in last seasonโs League Cup final after Celtic were put out in an earlier round by Kilmarnock.
Clement is under a lot of pressure at the moment, and will be lucky to make the final if the poor results maintain.
The feeling surrounding Celtic is a lot different. Flying high in the league, brushed aside the second-best team in the country in the semi-final, and now looking to get some more points on the board in Europe to qualify.
