Celtic’s Huge Europa League Boost After Copenhagen Draw

Celtic were drawn against Copenhagen and the teams will do battle in February for the right to enter the last 16 of the competition.

The bhoys have been relentless in the competition this season and finished top of their group while Copenhagen were unseeded as they finished second behind Malmo.

There will be a lot of talk around the tie between now and February 20, however, Celtic already have one ace up their sleeve for the double header.

By the time the game comes around, Celtic will have been able to rejig their Euro squad. This means they will have registered Jeremie Frimpong for the rest of the competition.

When the player came in as an unknown deadline day signing there was less than 48 hours to the UEFA group stage registration deadline. There was no real time to our serious thought into any new young players inclusion.

Since then, Jeremie has come into his own and has made the right back position his. He will 100% be registered for the knockout phase.
