LIAM Scales believes the in–form Dons have a great chance of beating Rangers when they meet in the final pre–split fixture on Sunday.

Aberdeen have come close in their previous mettingsd against the Ibrox side, even leading 2-1 in the 93rd minute in the last match at Pittodrie, but late goals saw the Dons lose 3-2.
Scales attributes their current run of success to the boost in confidence that the team has attained, and he believes it has been the best run of form they have had all season as the side targets a win over The Rangers this weekend.
As quoted by The Celtic Way, Scales said:
“I think we can get a result this time. When we played them in the semi-final we were very close and at Pittodrie in the last league game, it was tight. We were 2-1 up with two minutes to go and lost.
“We have shown we can do well against them. They are obviously a top side and are clear in second.
“It is a big ask but the run we are on gives us confidence that we can get points off them.”
If Celtic pick up three points on Saturday, they’ll go into the split 15 points clear with 15 points left to play for, although the league would not mathematically be over, the goal difference would all but seal it for Celtic.
A win in the first game of the split would crown Celtic champions, if Liam Scales and his Aberdeen teammates get the win they’re confident of at the weekend.
