Celtic’s Europa League Draw: How and When to Watch

Celtic will learn their UEFA Europa League league phase opponents on Friday, 29 August, with the draw scheduled to begin at 12 PM BST. [UEFA]

Ahead of that, their official seeding is expected to be confirmed earlier that morning, with Brendan Rodgers’ side likely to be placed in Pot 2, but this is yet to be confirmed.

The draw will be broadcast live on TNT Sports, Amazon Prime Video, and for free via the official UEFA website, giving fans plenty of options to follow the action.

As previously reported, Celtic’s domestic schedule will require adjustments due to the Thursday-Sunday rhythm of the Europa League calendar.

Four home fixtures in particular are at risk of being moved: Hibs (September 27), Motherwell (October 4), Kilmarnock (November 8), and Falkirk (January 31). These reschedulings are likely to be confirmed after the draw.

Away days will be changed too, of course.

With their Champions League ambitions dashed in Kazakhstan, Celtic now turn their focus to making a mark in the Europa League – but they’ll have to do so while navigating a disrupted domestic campaign.

It’s far from ideal, and the prize money is just a fraction of what they could have earned in the Champions League, but you can’t say Celtic didn’t deserve what happened to them.
