Celtic had to submit their Champions League squad for the third round of qualifiers by midnight Thursday with the deadline now passed.
Like previous rounds, the Scottish Champions have to submit their squad ahead of time for UEFA – locking in who is eligible to play come kick off time.
The submitted squad hasn’t been confirmed yet but it will be interesting to see who drops out of their first two squads to make way for Hatem abd Elhamed, assuming the defender has been picked. With all places filled for the first two games, someone will have to make way.
Neil Lennon unlikely to leave out the right-back for the tie even if he isn’t featured in a prominent role just yet.
As always, Celtic are allowed to register a wild card to enter their Champions League squad up to 24 hours before kick off time. If the club do sign anyone over the weekend they would be eligible for selection if Neil Lennon was keen to do so.
Celtic take on Cluj, the Champions of Romania on Wednesday night with a 7pm kick off.
