DAVID TURNBULL is expected to sign for Celtic today after a week of drama.
Celtic had a bid accepted for the Motherwell star on Wednesday last week and was expected to sign for the club before last weekend. However, by Friday evening Celtic released a statement saying they had offered the player a magnificent deal but they could not come to an agreement with Turnbull and his agent.
It went silent until Tuesday when rumours surfaced again the player was in-fact going to sign the contract Celtic put in front of him. People were again gearing up for the midfielder signing for Celtic only for reports on Tuesday evening claiming the deal was dead in the water. An hour after those reports, Norwich had a bid accepted for the player and it’s believed Turnbull spent the day down with the Canaries and it looked like they would give the player the deal he wanted.
However, a dramatic late change of heart on Thursday evening has seen the player drop his interest in Norwich and make a sensational u-turn to sign for Celtic.
The player is expected to sign a four-year deal with the club today. Surely there’ll be no more twists!
