Celtic’s ‘Done Deal’ Watches Champions League Tie

Carl Starfelt tuned into Celtic’s first competitive game of their new season tonight. Posting on his Instagram story, the defender posted a boomerang of himself watching Celtic’s one-all draw with Danish side Midtjylland while enjoying a steak.

In tonight’s match, Celtic demonstrated how weak the defence was, looking weak at many points throughout the game despite a stand out performance from Steven Welsh. The signing of Starfelt would surely help solidify the centre of defence, meaning fans may not have to witness Nir Bitton playing the position again.

If Celtic were to announce Starfelt he will not feature in the return leg in Denmark next week. To be part of the squad, players must have been registered on Monday the 19th at 11 pm.

Celtic will have to replace the suspended Nir Bitton with Osaze Urhoghide, Leo Fuhr Hjelde or Dane Murray who took the Israeli’s place tonight.
