Celtic’s Deadline Day Business; What to Expect

It’s deadline day! We’ve covered so many of these at CeltsAreHere over the years, and they can be hectic. However; this feels like a strange one. The bhoys have done their big bits of business very early and look to be settled going into the final part of the season.

The bhoys deadline day seems to be all about outgoings.

So what can we expect?

– CeltsAreHere Understands Giakoumakis is set to finally leave the club after a whole month of speculation. Atlanta look to have won the race for the Hoops striker and it should be announced shortly.

– A Stephen Welsh exit is still very much in play: Celtic are open to offers for their defender but given they’ve already let go of Moritz Jenz, it looks less likely. Sheffield Wednesday have shown an interest. [Yorkshire Live]

– Conor Hazard came back from a year long loan in Finland and is now interesting fellow premiership side Ross County. Manky McKay is hopeful of completing a loan deal for the Celtic cup hero. [Football Scotland]

With Juranovic already sold and the bhoys having brought in Yuki Kobayashi, Alistair Johnston, Tomoki Iwata and Oh Hyeongyu — fans can put their feet up and not have an anxiety riddled day.

Ange refused to rule out another incoming but as we sit here early on deadline day, there’s nothing to report on that front.
