Bosun Lawal is set to receive an opportunity during Celtic’s pre-season to showcase his abilities to manager Brendan Rodgers.

After a successful loan stint at Fleetwood Town, where he predominantly played in midfield, Lawal has returned to Glasgow with hopes of securing a place in the first team.
Celtic’s midfield is stacked, at the moment. He plays in a deeper position, an area which Callum McGregor has nailed down and when the Celtic captain is out of the team, Tomoki Iwata steps in.
According to Football Scotland, while there is significant interest from several EFL Championship clubs eager to take Lawal on loan, Celtic plans to keep him in Glasgow for the pre-season to evaluate his development and fit within the squad.
Lawal was called up to the Republic of Ireland’s Senior side on Tuesday for the friendly against Hungary, following his participation in training sessions with the senior national team.
