Some are very more generous than others while other clubs refuse to facilitate extra away fans. In simple terms, it’s like a business saying no to making money. As we know football and the business side of things rarely go down well with supporters. However, St Johnstone and Livingston have both let a bigger away following come on away days this term because their own fans weren’t filling the seats.

Elsewhere, we’ve seen Celtic’s allocations cut at various places over the last couple of seasons. With over 20k capacity and an official attendance of around 14k – there were 6000 seats not taken the game at Pittodrie.

Here is Celtic FC SLO’s rough rundown of the ticket allocation:

The lowest coming from Ibrox when they cut our allocation for petty reasons. Aberdeen is the second lowest amount we receive.

Should they be taking our money? Or should they look to appease the support they have in the stadium and not move people from stands in order to facilitate a large away support?

Considering the gravity of the game, any extra allocation which could have been thrown Celtic’s way would have been taken up. If we approach it from another point of view, should clubs be lowering their prices for home fans so they don’t have so many empty seats in the first place?
