Celtic’s Amusing Matchday Program Mix-Up

Celtic’s matchday program ahead of this evening’s 5-0 win over Raith Rovers had two player’s names in it that not many would have anticipated.

With Alex Valle and Kyogo Furuhashi departing the club in January, it would be a program that many would be quick to notice, with two glaring errors.

Valle would return to Barcelona before joining Como in Serie A, with Kyogo joining Rennes in Ligue 1 for £10 million. With a lot made of each move, supporters were quick to notice that both were included in the matchday program today.

Kyogo’s exit has clearly gotten to someone at Celtic, so much so that they have decided to ignore his departure to Rennes. The same can be said for Alex Valle, who did his career no harm with a respectable six months at Celtic on loan.

However, all jokes aside, it’s clearly been an easy mistake, and it will probably not be repeated next time, especially with so much attention on the errors on social media.

For Celtic supporters, it would have likely been an amusing chuckle ahead of today’s game, which was met with a light-hearted response.

Kyogo and Valle each played their part in the first six months of the season, and although he wasn’t at Celtic anywhere near as long as Kyogo, Valle was a good loan signing in the summer.

Kyogo will be greatly missed by all supporters, given his incredible three and a half years at the club, where he made a lasting impact with his goals and commitment to the club.
