Celtic is reportedly among a number of clubs showing interest in Zambian midfielder Kings Kangwa, according to Ed Aarons of The Guardian.

The 24-year-old, who currently plays for Red Star Belgrade, has caught the attention of several clubs across Europe, including Nottingham Forest, Fiorentina, Lille, and Montpellier.
Kangwa, who recently scored in Zambia’s victory over Ivory Coast in the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying match, has been in impressive form. His performance on the international stage has only heightened interest in his services, with clubs keen to secure the talented midfielder’s signature.
Nottingham Forest is reported to have already initiated talks with Red Star Belgrade regarding a potential transfer. However, Celtic, along with the other interested parties, are closely monitoring the situation. The transfer fee for Kangwa is likely to be around €3m, a figure that is within reach for all the interested clubs.
Celtic’s interest in Kangwa aligns with the club’s strategy of identifying and recruiting promising talent from across the globe. The Zambian international could be a valuable addition to the Hoops’ midfield, bringing a blend of skill, energy, and international experience for a relatively low price.
However, securing Kangwa’s services will not be straightforward, given the competition from other clubs. Nottingham Forest’s move to open discussions with Red Star Belgrade indicates their serious intent, while interest from Fiorentina, Lille, and Montpellier adds further complexity to the situation.
