Celtic’s £8million Man Heading For Summer Exit

The season has three months to go and apart from a handful of appearances with varying performances levels, Celtic’s £8million man looks destined to head back to France.

Osdonne Edouard was brought to Celtic Park to cover for both Leigh Griffiths and Moussa Dembele. Due to both being injured, the young French striker has enjoyed some game time but his performances have been up and down – much what you would expect from a young player.

The player’s hattrick against Motherwell a particular highlight of his time so far.

However, given Edouard’s buy-out out clause stands at £8million – there’s very little the striker can do in the next three months that would convince anybody at Celtic Park to part with that sort of cash for the lad.

I’m sure Osdonne will get some game time before the end of the season. Brendan Rodgers bringing the player on in the later stages of the game to help hold the ball up and take pressure off his midfield and defence.

While he’s not set the world alight, he’s certainly had his moments.

Would Celtic sign the player from PSG if they significantly lowered their asking price? Still highly unlikely.
