Celtic’s £10m Statement of Intent

Celtic have been often accused of leaving things to the last minute and penny pinching with transfers and there certainly has been truth to that in the past. However, in the last seven days, we have seen the club take a no-nonsense approach to signings.

Three players have come in the door since last Friday; Christopher Jullien, Luca Connell and Boli Mbombo.

These transfers come before a competitive ball has been kicked. Not only are these bhoys in early enough to really bed in before the qualifiers get into full swing but some serious money by Celtic standards has been spent to bring them to Glasgow.

That’s over £10m worth of signings in less than a week. If that’s not a massive statement of intent by the club I don’t know what is!

Celtic are not done and still need to find a few more players before this window is all said and done. There is some serious money being spent.

We expect to see at least one big name leave Celtic Park this summer to help facilitate these new signings.
