The Hoops are exploring wide options in the market following significant movement in their attack this summer.
Celtic have recently banked a sizeable fee from the sale of Nicolas Kuhn to Serie A newcomers Como, while ongoing injury issues for Jota have further affected Brendan Rodgers’ options out wide.

That’s led to a push for Breum, who has caught the eye since moving to the Eredivisie from Danish side Odense.
However, any hopes of landing the right-sided attacker at a bargain price have been quickly dashed.
The offer tabled by Celtic reportedly fell well short of the Dutch club’s asking price, believed to be in the region of £5million. Breum, who has been a standout since his switch to Deventer, is one of several players Go Ahead Eagles are determined to keep hold of this window.
Club director Jan Willem van Dop recently confirmed they had received contact from abroad for Breum, though talks failed to make headway due to a major gap in valuation.
He said: (RTTV Oost), “The only thing that is going on and as far as we are concerned are the unsuccessful moves.
“There has been a bid for Jakob Breum from a foreign club
“We are so far apart there. You have to stand your ground. He may have to realise that it could be very good to stay with us at least until the winter break, just like Oliver Edvardsen.
“We think that Breum and Antman should be allowed to leave for more than six million (£5million). If that doesn’t happen with this club, then maybe another one will come. And if not, then we hope that with all the positive feelings they have, they will stay with us and go into Europe. Then we will see during the winter break.”
Celtic want to add more options out wide, but their bid for Breum won’t be enough unless they come back with a far bigger offer.
Go Ahead Eagles are in a strong position and aren’t looking to sell, especially with the chance of European football later in the year.
Breum is still under contract and seems settled in the Netherlands, so the Dutch club aren’t in any rush. They’re happy to wait and see what happens later in the season.
With the transfer window ticking down, Celtic will need to decide if they want to raise their offer or move on to another target. Either way, it’s clear they still need to strengthen out wide.
