Celtic has secured the future of two promising defenders, Dane Murray and Lenny Agbaire, both of whom have agreed to new two-year contracts with the club.
Dane Murray, a player familiar to the Celtic fans, made his memorable debut in UEFA Champions League qualifying against FC Midtjylland in 2021 under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Since then, he has become quite a forgotten man. The 20-year-old’s past few years has been challenged by long-term injuries, which sidelined him for the better part of the last two seasons. Now fully recovered and back to full fitness, Murray is eager to reclaim a regular spot in the team and fulfil the potential he showed during his time in the Celtic academy.
On the other hand, Lenny Agbaire, at just 19 years old, has had a standout year with Celtic’s B team. After contributing significantly to the Under-18s’ Scottish Youth Cup final victory in 2023, Agbaire has continued to impress with his performances at the heart of the defence throughout a busy season of competitive fixtures.
🆕 We are pleased to confirm that both Dane Murray and Lenny Agbaire have signed new contracts with the club ✍️
