Celtic Youngster’s Head Has Been Turned – Hoops Exit Likely

Celtic have found it difficult to hold onto their top young talents in recent years. The club has been up against offers from Bayern Munich and Man City who have poached some of our best academy players.

However, it looks like another player will be heading for the Lennoxtown exit.

Leo Hjelde — tipped to make a big impact in the game by many is now eyeing a move away.

Leeds Utd have been coveting the player for some time. Leo spent the second half of last season on loan at Ross County where he earned rave reviews. Many fans — including myself — believed the youngster could find himself in the full squad this season.

So far, he’s been playing for the Colt side. The plot thickens this evening with the Yorkshire post confirming Leeds are making progress to sign Leo and now he’s missing from the Colt team on Wednesday evening — after captaining the team last week.

It will be disappointing to lose Leo but if he doesn’t want to be here we can’t do much, unfortunately.

We have to concentrate in engaging and inspiring the youngsters who want to be here.
