ANTHONY Ralston has declared that Celtic will not shy away from their Ibrox defeat, vowing that the painful loss will only drive the team towards restoring their high standards.

The loss resulted in the end of their domestic unbeaten record of 34 matches, but Ralston has made it clear that his team will not simply set the beating aside.
Celtic just weren’t at the races on Saturday, with the manager admitting that the number of changes heading into the match didn’t help the players.
Celtic captain Callum McGregor stated that the performance was unacceptable, and Ralston agreed: [Daily Record]
“Exactly. And we do know that.
“We have our standards and we are not going to hide away from that. It’s not in our nature. We have not got to the position we have got to now by hiding away from things and by accepting things. By just sitting it aside. We face value absolutely everything that we have done from day one and we’ll continue to do that.”
The result does mean that the Hoops can’t break Rodgers’ record point tally, but there is still a lot to play for this season. If Celtic beat Inverness in the Scottish Cup Final, they will a world record 8th treble. Heads can’t drop, with the end of this season as important as ever.
