After an impressive season that saw them finish in a commendable second place, narrowly missing the league title, the team is poised for their European challenge.
Under the leadership of Fran Alonso, the Ghirls have been a force to reckon with, combining tenacity with skill, and their second-place finish last season was a testament to their growth and potential. Securing a spot in European football was a fitting reward for their remarkable efforts.
Their first challenge in the Champions League comes against Brondy on Wednesday afternoon. A win here is crucial as it sets the stage for what’s next. If victorious, Celtic will take on the winner of the FC Minsk and Valerenga clash in the final round of qualifying. However, a setback would mean facing the losing team from the aforementioned match in a third-place play-off later this week.
Some fans have made the trip over, with Caitlin Hayes sharing some snaps of the travelling support on her Instagram.
But, for fans back home, they will be able to catch the action live, as Celtic TV has confirmed broadcasting the 1 p.m. kick-off.
