During the last SWPL season, McGregor was a pivotal player for Hibs, making 27 appearances, scoring five goals, and helping her team to compete strongly in the league.
Her move is part of Celtic’s aim to strengthen their squad following their first ever league title win, which was charged by new gaffer Elena Sadiku.
Sadiku, who took the helm at Celtic last season, expressed her enthusiasm about McGregor’s arrival and hinted at more signings to come. “Very happy and delighted to finally announce our first signing for the summer, Shannon McGregor. And there’s still more to come…,” the Swedish coach posted on X.
Hopefully, the women’s team can be backed to the hill this summer, and emerge from the window in a strong place ready to retain their league title and push for more silverware.
