Celtic Winger Ranked Among Fastest Players in Champions League

Celtic winger Nicolas Kühn has caught the eye in this season’s Champions League, not just for his attacking contributions but also for his blistering pace.

Kühn’s rapid bursts down the flank have been a key asset for Brendan Rodgers’ side, and his performances have helped Celtic secure a spot in the knockout playoffs for the first time in 12 years. His standout moment came in the home clash against RB Leipzig, where he netted a brace in an electrifying display at Celtic Park.

The German winger has been named among the 15 quickest players in the competition, ranking fifth with a recorded top speed of 35.9 km/h.

Ahead of him are some of Europe’s quickest players, with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland leading the way at 36.6 km/h, followed closely by Achraf Hakimi of Paris Saint-Germain at 36.5 km/h. Another City player, Matheus Nunes, takes third place with 36.3 km/h, while Stade Brestois 29’s Mama Baldé ranks fourth at 36.1 km/h.

Breaking into a list dominated by players from Europe’s elite clubs highlights Kühn’s physical attributes and potential. His pace has been a nightmare for defenders, and as Celtic push forward in Europe, his speed could prove crucial in the next round.

With Kühn finding his stride in the Champions League, his development under Brendan Rodgers will be one to watch as Celtic prepare for their knockout playoff tie.

The Hoops will face a massive challenge in the next round, with Real Madrid or Bayern Munich set to be their opponents. The draw for the tie is scheduled to take place on Friday at 11 am.
