Celtic Will Face Hibs At Easter Road In The Quarter Finals Of The Scottish Cup

Brendan Rodgers set a new record yesterday when his Celtic team murdered St. Johnstone 5-0 at Paradise in the 5th Round of the Scottish Cup. The Irishman set a new record of 24 wins in cup competition.

Saints were dispatched with ease yesterday with goals from Scott Sinclair (3), Scott Brown and James Forrest. Celtic’s reward was a place in today’s draw for the quarter-final and they have drawn Hibs away.

Celtic recently beat the struggling Edinburgh side at Paradise but Easter Road will be a different story. Under Neil Lennon, Hibs won the last two games that Celtic played in Edinburgh.  Games will take place on the weekend of March 2nd/3rd. Fixtures can be played on a Friday night or Monday night depending on other fixtures.

So the full draw for the quarter-final looks like this:

Hibs vs Celtic
Aberdeen vs Rangers or Kilmarnock
Dundee United vs Inverness Caley Thistle or Ross County
Partick Thistle vs Hearts

We will post the fixture times once they have been clarified.
