Celtic have reportedly taken action after Kris Boyd’s bitter and inaccurate rant towards their striker Leigh Griffiths.
The pundit has been very critical of Leigh so when the player scored and Boyd was in the building the Celtic star shushed the Sky Sports man.
Boyd was clearly incensed by this and must have looked up stats for a character assassination at full time. When the post-match comments came, Boyd was visibly trembling and incoherently repeating himself before glancing a bit of paper saying Leigh had only played less than 40 games out of 135 for Celtic.
It transpires the pundit was absolutely wrong.
RecordSport has revealed the club have ‘written’ to Sky Sports about Kris Boyd’s comments.
Record Sport reports: “Celtic have written to Sky Sports to demand answers over Kris Boyd’s controversial comments about Leigh Griffiths.
“Record Sport understands Parkhead chiefs have been inundated by fans complaining about the pundit’s pop at the striker in Wednesday night’s broadcast of their 3-1 win at Rugby Park.”
Why the club continues to give these paper exclusives is beyond us too. After Leigh Griffiths launched a bit of tape at a Killie fan being very abusive the paper wrote the headline:

How sensationalised is that?
