Celtic Walk Away from Striker Deal

According to PLZ Soccer, Celtic have now walked away from a deal for Steven Fletcher.

It was late on Wednesday night when news broke of advanced talks between the player and Celtic. However, there was a sticking point over length of contract and that’s what could have killed any deal.

Celtic fans didn’t seem impressed with Celtic’s attempts to sign Fletcher – some wary of the cheap option being used by the board at a critical point in our history.

The news that the deal is in fact dead comes from a reliable source in Peter Martin who is the man presenter at PLZ.

Neil Lennon wants a striker with Fletcher being in the mix for the past few weeks. If that deal is gone, the club should be pressing ahead with their main targets.

Ivan Toney and Albian Ajeti are both still heavily linked with a move to Glasgow this summer.
