CELTIC dominated their quarter final tie against Partick Thistle with a makeshift XI who lay down their own marker and left the fans buzzing about the rest of the season.
The club showed their strength in depth this evening by playing their third choice right-back against Thistle with the debuting Jeremie Frimpong putting in a good shift on his first top flight appearance ever.
Tom Rogic looks fitter and played the whole game but the man of the moment is Olivier Ntcham who proved the kind of game changer he can be when he puts his mind to it. The player ran the midfield all night and his first goal of the evening was an absolute belter.
Bayo getting among the goals and the assists also another please aspect of the Wednesday night tie.
Scott Sinclair coming from early season obscurity to getting among the goals another top moment.
All in all a very pleasing night at Celtic Park. 5-0 it ended and the fans who did attend got a real show.
The club will be up against Hibernian in the semi-final and will be hoping they can brush the Edinburgh club aside and get to another final.
Our three standout moments of the night:
- Scott Sinclair’s ovation coming on as a sub followed up by his goal.
- Frimpong debut showing our recruitment in the summer continues to look astute.
- Bayo being a massive aerial threat but also able to play on the ground.
